Col’s Closet

GIVING BACK

All profits from purchases at Bastazo Thrift Shoppe support cancer patients living in the South Jersey community (and beyond) with financial burdens. Because our shoppe is located in a vacation destination, we have made connections and helped cancer patients in many other states as well. We own the property and operate the shop to raise money for those dealing with everyday struggles of battling cancer. We also connect with other cancer support organizations such as Pink Clover Foundation, Shore Memorial Cancer Center, AtlantiCare Cancer Center, Kimmel Cancer Center (Jefferson) and Emmanuel Cancer Foundation.

In addition, we offer financial support directly to cancer patients through our Col’s Closet campaign. Col’s Closet was named in honor of Sam Sorbello’s late wife, Colleen. Colleen passed away in 2017 following a courageous battle against breast cancer. While she was fighting breast cancer, Colleen participated in many trials and was passionate about finding a way to make the treatment less harsh for the women fighting breast cancer. Sam and Cyndi are continuing Colleen’s fight to help ease financial burdens for individuals with all types of cancer.

“…when I see you all wearing pink, it’s a promise to me, that there’s a cure”
